Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 November 2026

These terms form the agreement between you and Flint. By signing in and using the service you accept them. They are written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at support@useflint.work before you sign up.

1. Who we are

Flint is operated by Tommaso Giubilei, reachable at support@useflint.work. In these terms, "we", "us", "our" and "Flint" refer to that operator; "you" refers to the individual using the service through a signed-in Google account.

2. What Flint is

Flint is a personal productivity web application. You capture thoughts into an inbox, drag each one to an edge to classify it, review your week on a guided path, and track your next actions, events, waiting items and someday list. The product is designed for individual, personal use. It is not a tool for teams, collaboration or shared workspaces.

3. Your account

  • You create your account by signing in with Google. You must have a valid Google account you own.
  • One account per person. Do not share credentials.
  • You are responsible for the activity on your account. If you suspect it has been compromised, revoke Flint's access in your Google account security settings and email support@useflint.work.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Flint (see the privacy policy).

4. Price

Flint is free. Every feature is available to every account, there is no limit on active tasks, and we never ask for payment details.

We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will announce it in-app and by email at least 30 days in advance, under the process in section 10. We will not charge you anything you haven't explicitly agreed to, and we will not delete or lock content you already saved because you chose not to pay.

5. Closing your account

You can stop using Flint at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, email support@useflint.work from the address linked to your Google account; the privacy policy describes how and when we delete your data. We may close the service as a whole, in which case we give at least 30 days' notice so you can copy what you need.

6. Your content

Everything you type into Flint — your drafts, notes, contexts, dates, people, locations — stays yours. We claim no ownership over your content. We only use it to operate the service for you (storing it, showing it back to you, letting you edit and delete it). We never share, sell or train anything on your content.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Flint to store or transmit content that is illegal, infringes a third party's rights, or that you do not have the right to store.
  • Attempt to break, probe or disrupt the service — denial-of-service, credential stuffing, exploiting bugs instead of reporting them, scraping other users' content (there is none to scrape; Flint is single-user).
  • Automate the service beyond ordinary personal use. Please do not run high-volume scripts against our API; if you need something like that, email us first.
  • Resell, sublicense or repackage the service.

We may suspend or close an account that materially breaches this section. For honest mistakes we will contact you first.

8. Availability and service changes

Flint is a free, early-stage service run by one person. We work hard to keep it online and your data backed up, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee. We may change, add or remove features over time. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

9. Warranties and liability

Flint is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we exclude all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement). Nothing in these terms limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under Italian or EU law.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service, which is provided free of charge, is limited to €100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses (lost data, lost profits, lost opportunities) that were not reasonably foreseeable. None of these limits applies to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we update the "Last updated" date above and notify logged-in users in-app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Flint after that date, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, you can stop using Flint and ask us to delete your account (section 5).

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rome, except for mandatory consumer-protection rules that give you the right to sue, or be sued, in the courts of your country of residence in the EU.
